Brocton had been on a goal spree already this April scoring 16 goals on the way to 4 successive wins but this 5th win on the bounce saw them really run amok crashing in 10 goals against hapless Castle Vale JKS on Easter Monday.
The Badgers showed their intent from the off when Jack Hall burst through the visitors defence before overrunning the ball. A Sam Bell throw and a Gary Fife free kick also threatened the Vale defence early on.
At the other end Castle Vale could only produce isolated breaks which the Brocton rearguard dealt with fairly easily. The Stafford side finally took the lead on 25 minutes when a fine run down the right by Sam Bell saw him cross to the far post where Jamie Evans headed back into the centre for Fife to score with a spectacular overhead kick.
It was 2-0 two minutes later when Jack Hall burst through the defence in the inside right channel and fired low to keeper Mark Morris’s right and into the corner of the net.
It was very much one way traffic and Fife was just wide with a snap shot but Steve Palmer did try his luck for Vale with a speculative shot that never seriously threatened Adam Whitehouse in the Brocton goal.
Brocton quickly turned defence into an incisive attack when skipper Matt Skinner broke up a JKS attack and slipped the ball to Jamie Evans on the left who played it back inside to Richard Jones. A long ball down the middle was flicked on by the head of Jack Hall perfectly into the path of Fife who crashed the ball past Morris to make it 3-0 on 38 minutes.
4 minutes later Richard Miller was brought down by John Leach and Fife completed his hat trick from the penalty spot and he went on the net his fourth when he made it 5-0 on the stroke of half time.
There was no respite for the visitors as within a minute of the restart Richard Miller converted a right wing cross from close range to make it 6-0 after the assistant referee judged the ball to have crossed the line despite a valiant attempt to keep it out by Morris.
Richard Hewitt then replaced Miller in the Brocton attack but an early opportunity with a header lacked power. On 57 minutes Skinner eluded his marker and headed home a well flighted free kick from Fife to make it 7-0.
Then JKS staged a mini revival when first an intelligent pass from Jamie Shipway set up James Travis to pull it back to 7-1 and then James Cartwright hit a cracking shot from 30 yards that Adam Whitehouse could not keep out despite getting a hand to it.
Vale centre back Scott Dolphin was then booked for a foul on Hewitt and the resulting free kick from Ben Harrison resulted in a move that saw Harrison find Fife and then be on hand to convert a right wing cross to make it 8-2 on 75 minutes.
Harrison then produced a chipped pass into Fife’s well timed run that beat the offside trap and he dinked the ball over Morris to make it 9-2 before Fife completed his second hat trick of the game when he dispossessed Morris outside the area and slotted the ball into the empty net to make the final score and incredible 10-2.
